Cannellini Bean Burgers

Ingredients

Chia Egg

  • 1 1/2 TBSP Chia Seeds
  • 4 1/2 TBSP Water

Cannellini Bean Burgers

  • 1 Can Cannellini Beans (15.5 ounces), drained & rinsed
  • 7 1/2 TBSP Oat Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp  Kosher or Pink Himalayan Salt
  • 1 ½ TBSP EVOO

Directions

In a small bowl, mix chia seeds & water. Set aside for at least 5 minutes then stir.

Cannellini Bean Burgers

  1. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the beans. Smash them with a potato masher or a fork. Add the oat flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt & chia egg. Mix thoroughly with a spoon.
  2. Form a ball with the burger mixture and cut into 4 pieces. With your hands, form balls and flatten to form a burger shape. Place the burgers on a plate and freeze for 20 minutes. This will firm the burgers before cooking.
  3. Add EVOO to skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers on each side for 5 minutes, carefully turning over each one. Serve adding your favorite toppings!

Serve these burgers with a garden salad to enjoy a healthy meatless meal!
